Dr. Charles Koojo is a graduate scientist with postgraduate degrees for more than 20 years of professional experience.  Starting as a Research Assistant, and physical geographer, Dr. Koojo has over these years developed into an Expert in Physical Planning, Land Use Master Plans and Environmental Social Impact Assessments. These experiences were gained through working for the government ministry, consultancy, university teaching and various adhoc assignments with international bodies and organisations.
Administrative and field support, back stopping, Team Leader for physical and environmental planning projects/assignment mobilisation, coordination, team deployments, report production, development of technical proposals, applied research, baseline surveys, climate change adaptation and mitigation aspects, climate risk management, disaster risk management, occupation health and safety, Eco-benefits and cleaner production, land use resources analysis and management, housing and land policies, community planning, development control, urban poverty, training of trainers(TOT)staff and interns, technical assistance and advice on environment and physical planning.
He has prepared over 30 Physical Development Plans, undertaken over 120 Environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA), Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), environmental audits and resettlement action plans.
He is involved in various feasibility studies which include Environmental Management Plan, Supervision of Health and Safety Plan of Contractors on various infrastructure development projects, Roads, Water and Sanitation, Telecommunications, Railways, Electricity projects and Buildings under construction.
